Today's Outfit

Today's outfit is... well, today's outfit! I never used to be a massive fan of slogan tees but I think that's only because the slogans used to be rubbish. Recently there have so many new ones and so many cool ones that they are just impossible to dislike.

My today's outfit tee from River Island is definitely one of my faves. It's quirky but not too silly, and it fits so amazingly well. It is comfortable to wear and the writing is velvet which I love. This top has definitely become a wardrobe staple for me.

I decided that my high waisted jeans from New Look (similar here) would work really well with the top to create quite a casual look. I blog about a lot of dressed up looks and not many casual, every-day looks so hence my decision to style this up. I teamed it with my New Look leather jacket (similar here). I practically live in this jacket as it goes with pretty much everything and is such a simple thing to throw on. I also wore my converse which, again, I pretty much live in. They are super comfy and go with the majority of my outfits. What would I do without them?!

I hope you are all having a great week!

Cold Shoulder

Look at this, two blog posts in a week! This time, I've been styling up this gorgeous cold shoulder midi dress from In Love With Fashion. I absolutely love midi dresses, and this one is definitely my fave. The way it sits off your shoulders is flattering on the neck line, and while it is a bodycon, the length of it makes it more classy. The pattern is really pretty and would comfortably work year-round. I would wear this dress for a meal out, a posh do, and possibly even a night out.

I styled it with my River Island heels, which I am still in love with, to add a bit of sass. They aren't still stocked but you can find similar here.

Feelin' Nostalgic

A quick apologies for not posting last week, I had spent the weekend at home and didn't get back until Monday, and I had an exam on Thursday. You also may have noticed from my Instagram (@jessappleton4) that my boyfriend took me on a spa day at The Hilton in Birmingham on Wednesday. It was so lovely and I was relaxed after, I am definitely going to have to make spa visits more regular!

I have been absolutely loving Charlotte Crosby's Nostalgia range at In The Style and one of my favourites is this oversized vest. The material is so soft, making this a super comfy outfit to wear! It fits amazingly well, although it has big slits down the sides so a bandeau is essential. I find myself wearing this frequently; my most recent outings being to lectures and a two hour car journey home for the weekend.

I teamed it with my new By Lauren Pope grid drape coat, also from In The Style which is a handy thin layer, yet is also pretty warm. I wore my new Boohoo Chelsea Boots (similar here) which are really comfy whilst also being practical.

I hope you like this look!

Aztec Monochrome

I am a massive fan of a coord so to see them featuring heavily this AW is very exciting! One thing I love about them, is that they not only work together, but you can also wear them separately so you technically get three outfits out of one coord.

This coord from Missguided (top and bottoms) is so simple yet it makes a statement. I seem to be so drawn to monochrome at the moment and this outfit is absolutely no exception. The pattern is so pretty and the material is soft yet doesn't feel like it will break easily. This outfit is very versatile, you could team it with some simple flats and a cardigan for a more dressed down look, or wear it with heels and a bold clutch to dress it up a little. I can definitely see myself wearing this to lectures, and also on a night out.

My clutch bag from New Look, I feel, adds a nice pop of colour to the otherwise black and white outfit which brightens it up a little. I also wore my gorgeous new rings from Le Lapin, which you can see in the close ups, and I absolutely can't get enough of them! They are so simple yet pretty, and don't make your fingers green like so many other rings I have had over the years *cringe*. My shoes from River Island are definitely my fave pair of heels at the moment. They are so cute but also super comfy.

Anyways, I hope you like this look!
