The Perfect Palm

If you have read my last blog post (see it here), you will know that this dress was on my summer wishlist. I have been trying to save my money a bit more recently so I wasn't going to buy it, however, I eventually caved and this gorgeous dress is now mine!

This palm midi dress is from In The Style which is home to so many lovely clothes, it is a wonder I haven't emptied my bank account for them. The material feels sturdy and strong, but it's also stretchy so it hugs all the right places. The shape of the dress is quite simple while the neon pink palm print brings it to life. The midi style is very in at the moment as it is a bit more classy than a shorter dress but still allows you to show off your pins.

I can definitely see myself wearing this for drinks at the bar on holiday. Here I've paired it with my white River Island heels, however, to make it more holiday friendly, you could swap them for some white sandals or flatforms and a white or pastel coloured clutch bag.

You can get the dress here so go take a lookie!

Summer Wishlist

Having just booked our summer holiday, my immediate instinct has been to find the perfect summer outfits. Sadly I have to be pretty reserved with my spending due to uni and the fact that I'm not a millionaire *sigh*. In light of this, I thought it would be nice to share with you some items which I really wished I owned in a sort-of summer wishlist. I hope you like these items as much as I do!

This dress is super cute and super summery. The dress itself is nice and simple but the pink palm design livens it up, whilst still having an elegant feel to it. This would be ideal to wear on a summers evening, drinking cocktails at the bar.

I have been eyeing up this crop top for a while now and I'm not sure I can resist for much longer. It's a simple top that would be acceptable to wear both day and night times. White is perfect to show off that golden tan, and teamed with some pastel coloured shorts/skirt/trousers, this look is right on trend.

I've never really looked twice at midi skirts, holding the idea that they are for the older lady too afraid to show their legs, however, more recently I have been finding myself looking more seriously at them. Midi skirts are just a bit more sophisticated than short skirts, and worn with a crop top (see above!) a pastel coloured clutch bag and pretty heels, you've got a prefect evening outfit.

Playsuits are a bit of an obsession of mine at the moment, I simply can't get enough of them! They are really cute and girly but can still look sophisticated. You can wear them for pretty much any occasion by just changing up your accessories, which is one of the reasons why my playsuit collection had dramatically increased recently. The hawaiian print makes this playsuit extremely summery and on trend at the moment.

Kimonos are an absolute must have this summer, being the perfect extra little layer to throw on over pretty much anything. The floral pattern on this kimono is gorgeous and would work with both plain and patterned underlayers, I can't wait to get my hands on this one or similar as I know it will certainly get a lot of use on my summer holiday.

River Island have been bringing out some absolute gems in the shape of shoes. I recently parted with my money for some white heels and it hasn't taken long before I found another pair I desperately needed! White shoes are perfect for summer, especially open and strappy ones. The actual heel on these are very small so you don't have to worry about falling over, yet the platform makes them much smarter than flat sandals.

It's taking a lot of strength and restraint not to buy all of these items here and now so I wouldn't be surprised if you see them featured on here very soon!

Hope you are all having a good summer

In Love With Ice Cream

It was my cousin's 18th birthday get-together this weekend and I wanted to wear something simple and easy, but that also looked girly. Hence the reason I invested in this gorgeous ice cream pink jumpsuit. I have been crushing over it for a while so when I finally had just the occasion, the 'checkout' button was swiftly clicked on!

It's such a pretty pastel pink colour and it fits so well. The pockets are very handy and the material is thin so you don't get too hot in the summer sun, yet it feels extremely well made, as with all ILWF clothing. I often struggle with strapless items because my boobs aren't that big, however, when I wore this I didn't feel like I had to be constantly pulling it up which was a bonus.

You can get this jumpsuit here or just click on the banner in the left hand side bar :)

I hope you are all having a lovely week.

Flower Garden

Coords are making more of an appearance as we move into summer, so I thought I just had to give this trend a go. I found this absolutely gorgeous ditzy floral coord on the In Love With Fashion website and just couldn't wait to get my hands on it. The flowers are such pretty colours and the detailing is so intricate, I feel like I'm wearing a flower garden, it didn't take me long to fall in love with it. As with all ILWF clothing, it feels of amazing quality and is generally comfortable to wear. The shorts are stretchy at the waist so you can wear them as high waisted as you like. The only thing is, the top could probably do with being a tad longer, but then maybe I just have a long body haha. Anyways, go take a lookie!

You can find the coord here or you can click on the ILWF banner on the left hand sidebar.

Pretty flowers and white heels

I am very much in love with this floral cold shoulder jumpsuit from In Love With Fashion. Actually, to be perfectly correct, I have a love for all of their jumpsuits so it was very difficult for me to decide which one to go for (I currently have another one in the post too!). This jumpsuit stands out for me as it looks quite smart, yet also fairly casual (does that make sense?!) The floral pattern is really pretty and adds a girly touch to the look, while the jumpsuit itself feels well made and of good quality. It also has pockets which I find very useful.I paired it with my new white peep toe platform heels from River Island. I have been crushing over these for a while now so when I finally tried them on in the shop, I ignored the price tag and took them straight to the tills! Safe to say I am a very happy lady. You can get the jumpsuit here or you can click the link to the website in the left hand sidebar so you can take a lookie.Jess xx
