Dancing in Sequins

Hey lovelies

I am in love with all things sparkly so its no surprise that this beautiful number ended up coming home with me. This sequin dress from Bank Fashion is truly amazing, I spotted it a little while ago whilst out shopping with my friends but managed to convince myself to save my money. However, when I discovered it was in the sale the other day, I just had to have it!

You may have notice it popping up on my Instagram a few times, and as I said, it makes me feel like a mermaid. This dress would be absolutely perfect for a New Years party, or just about any party at that, this is definitely a contender for the celebrations for me. Another thing I love about the dress is the material, some sequin items can sometimes itch the skin, but the lining of this dress is of such good quality that you can't even tell that you're wearing sequins.

I had the absolute ideal shoes to wear with this dress and was devastated to realise I had left them at uni! Not to worry, luckily black goes with everything and these old New Look heels save the day, adding a sophisticated yet comfortable touch to the outfit. A simple black kimono would work perfectly with this outfit to add a layer for a little extra warmth, although there is no doubt that a nice big coat will be needed outside!

Festive Fashion

Hello lovelies,

I hope you are all getting ready for the festive season, I am home for Christmas now, so I'm looking forward to spending a few weeks at home. Although I do have a lot of revision to do, as well as applying for placements, so I probably won't have that much time to myself!

I do hope to get some time off from revision, especially as I have some absolutely lush items to style up over the season! I will be styling up some outfits over the coming weeks that are perfect for Christmas, New Years, and any other parties; starting with these beauts...

I am starting off with a look that is more on the casual side so this jeans and heels look is ideal. I love this iridescent sequin cami from Boohoo, mainly because of the sequins, but also because of the pretty pink colour and the shape. It will go perfectly with jeans, like I have here, or a skirt to dress it up more. These Misspap jeans are one of my favourites, I have been after some new black high waisted jeans for ages and these are so perfect. They are really fitted but have enough stretch in them that they aren't too tight. I have also been crushing over their ripped jeans so I think they may end up in my wardrobe soon! My heels are also a current love from New Look, they're gold and glittery *heart eyes emoji* and super comfy to wear. I actually had my eyes on a different pair but they didn't fit my feet right - I have long thin feet which make buying heels a nightmare!

Anyways, I hope you like this look!

Missi

There's no denying my love for playsuits so I knew it wouldn't be long before I added another one to my collection! A lot of my playsuits are quite summery so I felt I needed a more wintery one, hence this floral playsuit from In The Style. It is a tight fit (as you can probably see) but also super comfy, I can definitely see myself wearing this on a night out. I love that it has three quarter length sleeves as it adds a bit of extra warmth and means that I'm not exposing a ridiculous amount of skin(!)

To go along with the going out theme, I wore it with my New Look wedges. They are really easy to walk in and don't kill your feet on a night out. To dress this look down, you can also wear some simple flats.

Colourfluxin'

IT'S DECEMBER! Which means that Christmas is just around the corner and to say I am excited would be an understatement. It's definitely the best time of the year, without doubt. Anyways, excitement burst over!

Oh my god how amazing is this furry gilet?! I am absolutely loving all the fur in the shops at the moment, and this gilet from Pretty Little Thing is no exception, it just had to make an appearance on my blog. It's super soft and surprisingly warm, although probably not the best thing to wear in the rain!

My jumpsuit is also from PLT from their Colourflux range. It is such a cool range full of cute clothes but I just don't think I would suit/be brave enough to wear most of them, this jumpsuit is one of the more tame items. It's still really awesome though, the cut out detail makes it stand out from other black jumpsuits, and the one sleeve makes it really flattering. I like the whole 'silhouette' look it gives you, I would definitely wear this jumpsuit on a night out, which is why I styled it with my River Island heels and Boohoo bag. The splashes of white adds a pop of colour and brings the whole outfit together.

I hope you like this look!

Today's Outfit

Today's outfit is... well, today's outfit! I never used to be a massive fan of slogan tees but I think that's only because the slogans used to be rubbish. Recently there have so many new ones and so many cool ones that they are just impossible to dislike.

My today's outfit tee from River Island is definitely one of my faves. It's quirky but not too silly, and it fits so amazingly well. It is comfortable to wear and the writing is velvet which I love. This top has definitely become a wardrobe staple for me.

I decided that my high waisted jeans from New Look (similar here) would work really well with the top to create quite a casual look. I blog about a lot of dressed up looks and not many casual, every-day looks so hence my decision to style this up. I teamed it with my New Look leather jacket (similar here). I practically live in this jacket as it goes with pretty much everything and is such a simple thing to throw on. I also wore my converse which, again, I pretty much live in. They are super comfy and go with the majority of my outfits. What would I do without them?!

I hope you are all having a great week!

Cold Shoulder

Look at this, two blog posts in a week! This time, I've been styling up this gorgeous cold shoulder midi dress from In Love With Fashion. I absolutely love midi dresses, and this one is definitely my fave. The way it sits off your shoulders is flattering on the neck line, and while it is a bodycon, the length of it makes it more classy. The pattern is really pretty and would comfortably work year-round. I would wear this dress for a meal out, a posh do, and possibly even a night out.

I styled it with my River Island heels, which I am still in love with, to add a bit of sass. They aren't still stocked but you can find similar here.
