GlossyBox | April 2013

It's that time again, where I tell you all about this month's GlossyBox! I have had plenty of time to try out the products so I can give you the best review possible.

Normally my GlossyBox arrives on or close to the 9th of the month, but as that day came and went, I was getting worried that it wasn't going to arrive. It finally came on the 19th, and boy was I relieved! I was overall, quite impressed with it. The products were good and the box was really pretty.

A-Derma Lip Balm - This is a lip balm with Rhealba Oat Milk, which claims to soothe and protect your lips. After the terrible weather we have been having in England (although not recently), my lips have been suffering in this extended-winter and I really needed to give them a treat. It doesn't have a particular smell as such, however, the product stays on my lips for a long time, making them feel soothed and hydrated for an increased length of time. It is easy to use as you simply squeeze it out and apply! I received the full size product at 15ml which would be £7.95. I probably would purchase this if I didn't already have a million other lip balms! I was overall, pretty pleased with it and would definitely recommend it.

Sleek Blush - Blusher is something that I often wear to add a dash of colour to my face, to brighten and define my cheekbones. I received this product in the colour 'Suede 921' and have found that it is ideal for a slightly toned-down look. It is a dull matte colour (I mean that in a good way, not that it's boring!) so it isn't in-your-face-look-at-me-I'm-wearing-blusher. It is fairly pigmented so you hardly need any on your brush. This is the 8g product, which is the full size and retails at £4.49. I am definitely considering purchasing this because the product is good quality, a good colour and will last me a decent amount of time, so overall, it would be good value for money.

Essie nail polish - When I opened my box and saw this little product, I was very happy! I am a lover of painted-nails and have quite a large collection of colours, however, the majority of mine are by the brand BarryM. The reason being, because it is cheap. Unfortunately, the colour never seems to stick around and they chip really quickly so I have been branching out and trying new brands - Essie being one of them. The colour I received was 'rosebowl' which is a deep pink colour, perfect for my toenails in spring and fingernails in summer. The brush is a decent size so it is easy to apply, and even without a protective top coat, the colour stays put for a long time! This product is £7.99, so more expensive than my BarryM nail polishes but definitely worth the price.

Yves Rocher So Elixir Purple perfume - Perfume, I have found, is quite a personal thing. You know what you, personally, like and the smells you appreciate can be very different to someone else. That said, I love trying out new scents. This product, is one that I am enjoying as it smells really nice! It is kind of floral-ly, which does sound like an old woman smell, however, it isn't. It is a calm, floral-woody elixir that isn't too overpowering and strong, packed in a cute little bottle, ideal for carrying around in my bag. The full size product is 50ml and is £44. I would definitely recommend this product for anyone looking for a new perfume!

Nip+Fab body butter - I own a lot of body butters, with different smells, claiming to do different things, but at the end of the day, they all leave me feeling sticky and slimy as they take their time to sink in. I was, therefore doubtful when I received this product that it was going to be different. Oh how wrong I was! Moments after applying, my skin felt soft but not sticky! I smelt fresh and fruity and I was pretty much slime-free! It is easy to say I am impressed by this product. The full size tub is £9.95 for 200ml, a price definitely worth paying! Once I have finished up my current body butters, I will probably invest in one of these beauties because it is so good!

So there you have it. That is what I received this month in my GlossyBox, and I have to say, I have very happy with this box! The only real negative with this box is that I wish some of the samples were bigger, but we can't have everything in life now can we? If you haven't subscribed to GlossyBox and you love trying out new products, then why the hell not?! It is definitely worth it and I always look forward to receiving this pretty little box every month!

Have you tried GlossyBox? What's your opinion?

Soooorrrryyyy!!

Hey guys!
I am so incredibly sorry I have been so quiet over that last month and a half! I cannot apologise enough! It wont happen again, I promise! To make it up to you, I am going to write this post without planning it, I am just going to let the words flow and we will see where we end up :)

So, what's been happening in my life over the past six weeks?
At work, I stepped up my hours so it felt like I was there almost constantly! I was starting early in the morning and not getting home until early evening so when I was at home, I was absolutely shattered. I felt like I had hardly any time to myself and I was feeling quite stressed. I am generally a very positive person so it didn't really affect me in that way, I just couldn't be bothered to do anything useful or worthwhile with my time.

Strangely enough, I have managed to bag myself a boyfriend! I have no idea how and I honestly don't know what he sees in me, but he knows how weird I am and still voluntarily spends time with me. We have gone to the cinema lots and spent the day in London together, and we have been going out for nearly a month now. (I know a month isn't that long but as he is my first proper boyfriend, it means a lot to me!) Hopefully I will get him on one of my videos or in some of my pictures that I post to you :)

I had my birthday! On the 24th March, I turned 19 years old and I have begun my final year as a teenager. I had a pretty lazy day, I got up late and had a Full English brunch with my parents. When my brother and sister got home I opened my presents and got many exciting things, including a new camera!! My boyfriend came over to meet my family and to eat some cake which was really nice. In the evening I went out for a meal with my extended family and we ate so much! It was lovely to see everyone as I hadn't seen them in a while, and I got a few more presents there too! I have done a birthday haul video which you can watch HERE!

And from now on?
I have changed my hours at work once again, so I am doing a lot fewer now. This gives me more spare time to film videos for my YouTube channel and to write blog posts for you! My plan is to put up at least one video and one blog post every week. I will not neglect the interweb as badly as I have done these past six weeks, and I promise things will be different from now on!!

I hope you can accept my apologies!
